Charles Dunlap is passionate about designing client environments as a reflection of their individuality. Influenced by the late architect David Adler, designer Jean Royere, and landscape designer David Hicks, Dunlap's interiors are grounded in traditional principles employed in contemporary ways. His skills and style are as broad and diverse as his client base. From a Miami Beach getaway, an arts and crafts Nevada home or a brownstone in Chicago, to vintage and newly constructed homes, powerful personal connections can be made to surroundings, which are intuitive, organic or moving --whatever bespeaks.

Dunlap began his career designing interiors for a large commercial firm specializing in retail design. The variety of project challenges produced stylistic versatility and a vast knowledge of materials. Dunlap established Dunlap Design Group, LLC in 2000. He has created a number of rooms in designer show houses and has worked as a consultant to ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. Formally trained at Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan, Dunlap holds a BFA. Dunlap is a published designer and an Allied Member of the American Society of Interior Designers.
